Volunteers Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering. It takes place in the first week in June each year and is supported by small organisations as well as larger charities that run hundreds of activities across the UK to showcase and celebrate the impact that volunteers have in our communities.
It goes without saying that volunteers have played a key role in the last few years in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Volunteers from across the country came together and took the time to help make a positive difference, just as they do every year. Volunteers Week is a time to say thank you for their valuable contributions.

This year is the 38th annual Volunteers Week and is taking place during the #MonthofCommunity, which brings together organisations with a range of events in order to encourage us to stop and think about perhaps joining local activities within our local area.
You can find out more about the event on the Volunteers Week website, where you can also look for volunteering opportunities near you.
