The Foundation is looking to recruit a Football Development Officer to manage the development, growth and reach of the Foundation’s Football Development programme. Creating opportunities for participants to take part in community based football sessions, become lifelong fans and reach their potential.
As part of the role, the candidate will be expected to increase the number of community based football sessions as well and continually driving standards and improving the quality of provision of existing and new football sessions, including Soccer Camps, Junior Kickers, Pay & Play, Active Tots, Back in the Game, Walking Football and Matchday Experiences.
The ability to develop internal and external relationships is vital in this role and as such, the candidate will have an approachable, friendly, trustworthy and professional manner, with the ability to engage with a variety of individuals from all backgrounds, understanding the needs of different groups to devise a sustainable football development programme.
Our football development offer is a core element of the Foundation’s strategy and as such this role will play a key part in the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Job Title: Football Development Officer
- Reports To: Head of Community Engagement
- Location: Based at Stevenage FC Foundation office, The Lamex Stadium, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, SG2 8RH. Some travel to locations in Stevenage and surrounding areas. Flexibility to work remotely on an ad hoc basis.
- Contract: Full time (38 hours per week) fixed term two year contract. Flexibility is expected and due to the nature of the post some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
- Salary: £20,000 per annum
