Thank You Day 2022 is taking place this weekend on Sunday 5th June. The date ties in with the final day of Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee celebrations so it is a great opportunity for a moment of togetherness for everyone in the UK 🇬🇧.
There will be much to get involved with on the day, centring around the Big Jubilee Lunch which will see communities come together to share friendship, food and fun. The aim is to get as many people as possible involved as we all say thank you to whoever deserves it, be it a family member, a friend, a fellow volunteer, a work colleague or an organisation making a difference.
Last year, many volunteers and organisations participated, so this time, the NHS volunteers want to help make it one of the biggest ever party’s the UK has ever seen. Starting from just 12 individuals proposing a Thank You Day, the idea is now supported by hundreds of organisations across the country including the Royal Voluntary Service, the Church of England, the FA, The Sun and Mirror and Scouts and Guides.
You can visit the official the Thank You Day website for more information.
