On Thursday 17th February, take part in Random Acts of Kindness Day and help spread positivity and kindness to those around you.
“Remember, there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end”
Scott Adams, American author and cartoonist
Kindness can make a world of difference to someone’s day, no matter how small, and is more important now than ever before. The day aims to encourage and inspire us to show support for each other with the idea that doing good does you good too. We often focus on our own busy lives to the point that it is easy to forget even the smallest act of kindness, like saying “thank you”, can have a big positive impact on somebody else.
Random Acts of Kindness Day is also an opportunity to remember being kind to yourself is just as important. Make time for yourself to do the things that you enjoy or that help you relax, and you’ll notice a boost in your mental wellbeing. You could:
- Read a book
- Go for a walk
- Have a bath
- Watch a film
- Paint
There are limitless options for what you can choose to do. “Me time” is important because it allows you to reduce stress and reboot your mind, which will increase not only your productivity but also your mood. We’d love to see the activities you get up to, so share them with us.
It is important to remember being kind is not limited to just one day in the year, but rather it is a reminder of the power that kindness actually has. We hope Random Acts of Kindness Day encourages you to think about how you can be kind to those around you.
