Would you like to make a difference in your local community? Are you passionate about people and given them opportunities to positively impact their lives?
Stevenage FC Foundation have partnered with Herts Sports Partnership (HSP) to offer free activity camps to school-aged children, with an aim to tackle the inequalities of holiday hunger, social isolation, physical inactivity, and educational attainment experienced by children from low-income families during the school holidays as part of the Fit, Fed & Read (FFR) project.
Camps will provide the opportunity for children to take part in a variety of sports, arts, and enrichment activities. Alongside HSP, our partners on the program include Hertfordshire Libraries, Herts Fire & Rescue Service, and Herts Constabulary. The fourth partner, Herts Catering Limited provides the children with a hot meal each day.
What Are We Looking For?
We are actively recruiting sports coaches, teachers, arts & crafts, and people who have experience & enjoy working with children & young people. Each day of camps offers children sports and physical activity, enrichment (soft starts, themed arts and crafts, outdoor activities and games), and lunch.
