The UN’s World Happiness Day is taking place on Sunday 20th March 2022. Since 2013, it has been celebrated as a way to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of everyone around the world. In 2015, the UN launched the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which seek to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect our planet – three key aspects that have a positive correlation to wellbeing.
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”
Aesop, Greek storyteller
On International Day of Happiness, we want to encourage you to share happiness with your friends, family and colleagues. Taking time to reflect on what you’re appreciative and grateful for, even the tiniest little things, will make you feel happier and more fulfilled. You can arrange to meet with friends, explore a new place you’ve never been to before or even donate to a charitable cause that means something to you. There are no rules to what you can do, as long as it makes you happy and feel good.
