Foundation Project Officer, Dani Burge, joined a number of local causes as well as Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland to meet with top executives at Lloyds Bank to give a presentation on the work that Stevenage FC Foundation is doing in the local community.
Dani, showcased the work of the NCS programme that, this summer, is working with 105 young people from Stevenage to give them the summer of a lifetime to gain new life skills to set them up for the next steps in their lives.
The Foundation were invited to the event as one of Lloyds’ chosen charities and another fantastic cause with a Stevenage FC link was also given the chance to promote their work.
The Twin Towns 1000k bike ride who are riding across Europe this summer to raise £100,000 for the Lister Hospital, were represented by Graham Hoare and former Stevenage FC midfield Neil Treble
Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland also gave a business speech – and backed Twin Towns 1000k riders for their fantastic initiative.
Mr McPartland said:
“It’s fantastic Lloyds are supporting them. It’s important we get businesses behind such superb causes.”
Event organiser, Lloyds Relationship Director and Foundation Trustee, Steve McQueen added:
“It was a great opportunity to showcase positive work.”
