Everyone at Stevenage FC Foundation are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Foundation trustee, Carol Ashby on Monday 10th February, aged 71.
Carol has been a long-standing season ticket holder at Stevenage Football Club, coming to “The Boro” with her husband Jim for decades, sitting in the West Stand and often sharing their opinions with the away team manager.
Carol’s passion for the work that the football club did away from the pitch, led to her joining the Foundation board of trustees in 2016, becoming a fundamental part of its growth in the year that followed, right up until she stepped down from the role last year.
On behalf of the Foundation, we’d like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Carol’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Her passion for the Club and the Foundation will be remembered for years to come, and she will be sorely missed by us all.
