Stevenage FC Foundation is hosting a virtual open evening on Sunday 12th December at 7:45 pm for the Community Football Coaching and Development and the Sports Coaching and Development degrees. These degrees have been designed with the EFL Trust and will be delivered by the University of South Wales.
The Foundation degree in Community Football Coaching and Development will allow you to develop the skills that are required to work in a professional football club. You’ll learn about children and youth coaching, football development, social inclusion and sports management skills. You will be based predominantly with the football club with a minimum of five days at the USW Sport Park, a £15m state-of-the-art coaching and performance development centre with a full size indoor 3g pitch equipped with the latest technology to support your education.
The Sports Coaching and Development degree gives you practical experience of working in the coaching industry. You will undertake 4-8 hours of work experience per week in year 1 and 7-14 hours per week in year 2. You will develop an understanding of the varied nature of sports coaching and development, from grassroots community projects that engage with people to take up sport and/or physical activity, to working alongside elite athletes at the top of their game.
On Tuesday 30th November, our Education Mentor Lucy Burdin will be hosting 1-2-1 meetings between 9 am to 12 pm to answer any questions you may have. To register your interest, please complete this form.
